March 23, 2011: Hibiscus tea at Bridgehead. It was bright pink, floral and fruity, naturally sweet with a sour kick. Delicious, and perfect to warm my hands.

Finished packing today. All that is out is my computer, clothing, toys that will be donated (all others are packed) and the TV & some dishes in kitchen.

I will have more donations going out once I go through my clothing again after I move, but that will count towards my other goal #014 Donate clothes twice a year.

Therefore, I consider this item completed! Success!!

I like to do this as a thing to make me feel good. I just got a bottle of purple nailpolish as a gift, and it made me decide to start this list item. I wil paint my nails Friday, February 25 2011, to kick off the monthly nail painting!

I haven't started yet, but I thought you could throw some reccommendations out there to me.

I plan to watch the Charlie Chaplin Collection, but count it as one movie, then I have "The Snake Pit" and was hoping to watch some Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe films. I have also never seen "The Sounds of Music" or "Singing in the Rain"

Any suggestions for me?

So...I was looking at my bare cupboards and saw I had 2 kg of rock hard brown sugar. I wondered to myself what should be done with this? I know it will need to be softened no matter what so I throw it in a small pot with some vegetable oil and flax seed oil, maybe 3tbsp each. I then noticed I had a few full flake oats left along with a 5kg bag of Quick Oats. I decide to make granola bars. I throw in some unsweetened coconut to the sugar & oil mixture, on medium-high heat and stir until I can smell the coconut toasting. Then I added cinnamon. I then realize apples would be a great addition, so i slice up 1 medium apple, throw it in a pan with some honey & veg oil & cinnamon. Then when slightly carmalized/browned, I added it to the sugar/coconut/oil combo. I slowly started adding my flake oats (1/2 cup) then once they were fully incorporated I added my quick oats gradually until I had the "right" consistency. I removed from heat, and put it into a loaf pan, patting it down compressing it as much as possible. Now it is in the oven baking, and I hope it turns out to be cuttable into granola-bar type snacks.

Anyways my timer just beeped, so I'm going to go see how it turned out and then put Squisher to bed. Wish me luck and I'll post pics of the final product at the end, with a taste testing review. I see it being much too sweet...

Edit: This is 1 of 6 equal sized pieces. Chapstick for size reference. Maybe 1-2cm thick.

Day 5:

Recipe #1: I made this recipe
I altered it by adjusting 1/2 sr cream, and 1/2 condensed milk, and it was phenomenal! Yumm

Recipe #2: I made jello-type pudding but was out of milk, and the recipe called for 2 cups milk. I used 1/2 cup cream, 1/2 cup condensed milk, and 1 cup water. It turned out better than any other pudding I've ver made, so I'm counting it as a recipe. Also, for mine I stirred in a 1/2 cup of bran cereal before I put it in the fridge to set, and it was wonderful. Yumm!

Day 6:

Recipe #3: Oatmeal cookies, but no nutmeg, cinnamon, or anything like that, so I threw in the equivalent in cocoa powder and slightly under-cooked them. The recipe is deceptive in that it doesn't firm up until after you take them out of the oven, so be wary when cooking!

Day 18:

Recipe #4: Can't find it right now, was a basic basic chocolate chip cookie recipe from FoodGawker

Week 9:

Recipe #5: Is not really a recipe. I bought a thingy of Pillsbury Crescent Rolls, and rolled chocolate chips and peanut butter inside of them with chocolate chips on top. So damn good. I count it as a culinary creation on my part.

Goal Attempt #1
Started: January 18th, 2011.
Ended: February 18th, 2011.

Day 5: I have been taking 75mg of Effexor daily. I need to call to get it refilled before my next appt, then I plan to bring in all my pills and show her what I have, and have her adjust my dose and advise me accordingly. This appointment is on February 14th. At that time I will likely be prescribed a BF friendly beta blocker that I was supposed to have started in freaking July. Stupid me. No, not stupid, stop doing that brain.
I just need to do better that is all. Try harder this time. For serious.

Day 19: Doing well, just having trouble remembering to take it at the same time every day, but haven't missed any days!

Reflections: After missing a couple of days, I decided to reword this goal instead of calling it failed. I reworded it to make it every day for 90 days instead of every day no matter what. Sometimes things will happen and it won't work, but considering myself a failure is not moving my forward anywhere so I'll adapt.

Take my medication every morning at 0730am before leaving for school. If I forget it, then take it as soon as I get home.

Day 5, still going strong! Took [livejournal.com profile] expresso_moon's advice and am officially changing my goal from here on out to washing & moisturizing daily, and exfoliating every 2-3 days with my scrubby pad thinger. My skin sofffft!

Day 19: Still doing it every day! Sometimes it's not 'til right before bed, but it's getting done every day! :)
